1. Overview
QuickGlance (“the extension”, “we”, “our”) by DevsArun Extensions is a browser extension that helps you understand the content of the web page you are currently viewing. You can select text, right-click an image, or open the side panel to ask questions and get plain-language explanations, translations, and summaries. This policy describes how QuickGlance handles information.
2. Information we access
QuickGlance only accesses data when you actively invoke it. Specifically:
- Page content you ask about. When you request an explanation, translation, or summary, the relevant content (selected text, page text, a table, a chart image, or a code snippet) is read so the AI can answer your question.
- Your AI provider API key. The Groq or Gemini key you enter is stored locally on your device and used only to send requests to that provider.
- Preferences & local history. Settings (such as light/dark theme) and recent answers are saved locally so the extension remembers them between sessions.
3. What we do not collect
We do not collect or store on our servers your browsing history, personal identity, passwords, location, financial details, or the contents of the pages you view. QuickGlance does not track your activity across sites, does not run analytics on your reading, and does not build a profile of you.
4. How your information is used
- To generate answers about the page content you explicitly ask about.
- To remember your settings and recent answers on your device.
- To verify your license status for Pro features via our license server.
Your information is never used to determine creditworthiness, for lending purposes, or for advertising.
5. Third-party AI providers
When you ask a question, the content you selected is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you chose (Groq or Gemini) using your own API key, so that a response can be generated. That request is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy:
We do not add these requests to any database of our own, and we do not receive a copy of the page content you send to your provider.
6. Data storage & security
Your API key, preferences, and answer history are stored using your browser’s local extension storage on your own device. They are not transmitted to DevsArun servers. If you enable optional Pro cloud sync, only your settings and saved answers are synced through an encrypted channel so they are available across your devices; you can disable sync at any time.
7. We do not sell your data

8. Your choices & control
- You can clear your saved history at any time from the extension settings.
- You can remove your API key or switch providers whenever you like.
- Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
9. Children’s privacy
QuickGlance is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
